           Scientists say unhappiness and stress are natural biological responses and should not be suppressed by antidepressants.  Good news for people who always fail to see the silver lining on clouds.  A report in this month's New Scientist, suggests that a tendency to get down when life beats you up can be good for you.

        A growing number of cautionary voices from the world of mental-health research, the magazine reports, are claiming that it isn't a good idea to use antidepressants to help banish unhappiness in the aftermath of a marriage breakdown, bereavement or redundancy because, "they fear that the increasing tendency to treat normal sadness as if it were a disease is playing fast and loose with a crucial part of our biology.  Sadness, they argue, serves an evolutionary purpose."

         Alex, I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree, sir.  Honestly, I don't think we should be in such a rush for any new "mentors."  Need time to get over this thousands-of-years-long hangover we're reeling from right now, caused in some part by the old mentors, and in some part by our own bad decisions.

         Don't know if they realize it or not, but these "angels" have definitely fallen in our eyes, and we need more mentors like...well, like Colorado, or Mars or the moon need more Terrans cowering underground from a coming apocalypse...now, that's just kinda' DUMB.  Oy vey, enough with the mentors already  [face/palm].  "Humanity, get off your knees," indeed.

        Anya Briggs is a talented psychic medium in New York.  She speaks her mind.  OK, maybe what Anya posted on her blog wasn’t the best thing for her business, maybe it put off a lot of potential clients, etc. (see below).  And of her own admission in subsequent posts, maybe she needed a break from doing readings, due to health problems and some other rather odd, and very draining issues she's confronting. 

        So there’s a great degree of frustration reflected in her writing.  I think it could officially be classified as a cathartic rant.  But there's also a sense of humor throughout it, which is one of the great things about Anya --that, and her uncompromising honesty.  As of this writing, she did indeed take a break from doing readings, until the dust settles a bit in her life.  I hope she feels better soon, and can get back in the saddle again before long.         I think the basic message of her post deserves mentioning, so I am reposting it here.  In the past, I have written articles about what TO DO when working with psychics (see Good Advice from Bob Olson About Predictions in Psychic Readings, and Tips for Getting a Good Psychic Reading).  I try to stay on the positive side of things.  But what Anya is trying to get across in her article, however, is what NOT to do.  This needs to be said, as well.  But first I should say...

You Have No Power Over Me

"My will is as strong as yours."  This movie was really just Alice in Wonder- land programming for the masses, packaged as children's entertainment.  In fact, these handlers have excelled at "packaging" everything around you. .

        The moral of this planet's story?  It's not worth it to let the wannabe goblin kings intimidate us.  Just say no to the handlers, no matter what form they take, like prancing about in crotch cups and dainty hose, spouting their whiny guilt trips of phony religions and phony societal norms.  Ignore their pathetic bribes of dreamy crystal balls that lead nowhere good.  Hack the hologram, find its weak points.  Confound the programmers.

        The egos of wannabe goblin kings need kingdoms to rule, like the apex of a pyramid needs a base to stand, otherwise it collapses and is no more.  But the base, however, never needed the apex to stand.  That's why the eventual fate of all wannabe goblin kings is to be, like a bad dream, ever forgotten by all.  That's why they fear that the most, and why their fears are becoming their reality more and more every day.

        Love --for yourself, for people, for the myriad aspects of life...it absorbs negativity like a sponge, neutralizes it, transmutes it, gives life instead of takes it away, and attracts more love.  So, your kingdom is great when you take refuge in love.  You'll never be abjectly alone, but surrounded by growth and life.  Love is the mission here, and it ain't impossible.  Just say no to the handlers, and realize they have no power over you.
